Yea so I'm 24 now. Go me for surviving 24 years! My birthday was really great this year to be honest. On my birthday, I hung out with my friends at the local Starbucks and was astounded by the number of friends that actually came! I think in total, ten of my friends came. It was really interesting to see them interact with each other because I tend to make friends on an individual basis, not a group basis. So for the majority, it was their first time meeting each other. It was also the first time I got to see my friends Keli and Jeremy since their wedding last month. They told me that they had gotten their wedding photos and that I had, in fact, reached out for that damn bouquet that I caught. I am never living that down. I also got to see their new condo and it's perfectly wonderful. Can't wait for them to have the dinner party in the near future, especially after all I've heard about Jeremy's cooking.
The following day my sister came home and we spent the day watching Jurassic Park 3D at the local cheap theater and browsing comics at the comic shop. That night my other sister Skyped in and we celebrated properly with cake as a family. I finally got to find out what my sisters got me and it was this wonderful figurine of Saint Walker, one of my favorite characters from Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I nearly died and my parents are even more confused by me. Heeee. He's so great though and now sits on my desk where I can give him a light fist bump whenever I need a little burst of hope.
Not much else going on. Finals week is about to be in full swing and then I jet off to Wisconsin for three weeks for work. It'll be nice, at least that's what Heather's been telling me. Stay cool you deviants.
